Daily Practice and the Creative Power of Living Intentionally

The only way to get what we want is to know what we want and work towards it, day by day. Every day brings opportunities to create the life we long for, but to take advantage, we need to set a special intention at the start of our day. We need a plan! Learn to use your morning practice to create a clear path to happiness and freedom using the special methods devised by Buddha. Free for members / $15 non-members

Dealing with Loss and Change

Losing what we love and dealing with unwanted change is part of life—and it often hurts. We tend to feel that relationships, jobs, possessions and other externals will give us the lasting pleasure, comfort and security we crave. However, genuine happiness comes from an entirely different source. Kadam Matthew will explain methods for truly enjoying life, regardless of its ups and downs. We will learn to develop a mental resilience that will keep us happy and peaceful even through life’s biggest challenges—and enable us to help those we love. Free for members / $15 non-members

Less Stress. More Peace.

STRESS!  Like a game of whack-a-mole, the moment we deal with one issue, another pops up. Stress is always haunting us and ruining our peace of mind. Why? We are trying to solve our problems the wrong way: attempting to "fix" external conditions. Instead, we can develop our mind. Inside, we will find enormous reserves of patience and creativity to help us solve problems and remain at peace no matter what happens on the outside. Free for members / $10 suggested donation

The Vast Space of Inner Peace

Learning to Practice the Oral Instructions of Mahamudra

Is real freedom possible? What is the nature of my mind? How can I develop the mind of great bliss? In this Thursday series, we will explore profound questions through the practical lens of Mahamudra, the meditation on the pure, clear nature of the mind. This extraordinary practice tradition lies at the heart of Kadampa Buddhism and is a powerful means for overcoming distractions, enabling us to settle our minds like a still ocean—blissful and at peace. Join us for this opportunity to deepen your understanding of one of the most extraordinary spiritual treasures in our world through teachings, questions, discussions and meditations.
