“Our job is to pray for world peace – anytime, anywhere. With compassion, we make dedications and pray to develop and maintain inner and outer peace and harmony. We know there are so many dangers and problems arising right now, war and terrible things. We try to repair, to pacify, to cause all dangers and obstacles to cease through our prayers. With compassion, we pray every day for world peace, that the people of this world will experience peaceful and happy minds and meaningful lives. Through our pure intention, the power of our prayers and particularly through receiving blessings from enlightened beings, results will come, definitely.” – Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
The world has always been a dangerous and uncertain place, but in these times of widespread doubt and insecurity, spiritual practitioners need to come together and confidently connect to our potential to change our world
The Tibetan world for prayer means “wish-path,” a beautiful state of mind that creates an inner pathway to the desired result. The practice of deep prayer can have a transformative effect on our mind, and Buddha showed how our world and our mind are finally two ways of describing the same reality. By sincerely engaging in the practice of making prayers and dedications, we create the cause to experience a world free from misery and confusion.
Prayers for World Peace includes guided meditations, teachings, and simple prayers. There will also be time for discussion and socializing.
Everyone is welcome. No meditation experience is necessary.
