Make Your Labor Day Weekend Meaningful!

Join hundreds of spiritual practitioners from around the Northeast region for this special event. Held on Labor Day Weekend, you will have the incredible opportunity to receive empowerment, listen to practical teachings and be led through powerful guided meditations that will bring benefit to your life and the lives of others.

Home of one of four traditional Kadampa Temples in the world, everyone is welcome to join us at Kadampa Meditation Center New York – a peaceful and spacious environment to enjoy a truly meaningful holiday.

The Northeast Dharma Celebration provides a precious opportunity to study, listen to and practice the special presentation of modern Buddhism taught by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, the Founder of the New Kadampa Tradition.

The Blessing Empowerment of Dorje Shugden

Teachings the Heart of Kadampa Buddhism

Dorje Shugden is known as a Dharma Protector, a Buddha who easily pacifies obstacles and gathers all necessary outer and inner conditions for us to take Buddha’s teachings deeply to heart. By receiving the blessing empowerment we make a strong connection with this Wisdom Buddha. In the commentary, Kadam Morten will explain, based on recent instructions from Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, a special way of relying on Dorje Shugden that enables us to integrate all our essential Kadampa Buddhist practices, both Sutra and Tantra, with our daily life, so that we can gain actual spiritual realizations swiftly and easily. Everyone welcome.

Inspired by Geshe Kelsang, the Northeast Dharma Celebration is an opportunity for people in the Northeast to come together to receive inspiration and blessings from the empowerment, teachings, guided meditations and retreat sessions.

Held at KMC New York, home of the US Kadampa World Peace Temple, which is located amidst 82 acres of peaceful woodlands, the NEDC provides all the perfect conditions to enjoy a truly meaningful holiday. Kadam Morten Clausen is the Eastern US National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition and Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center New York City.

In addition, senior Kadampa Teachers will also be guiding meditations throughout the event. Learn more about the Celebration’s Teachers.
