Upcoming Festivals & Retreats
Every year the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU) – organizes a world-wide program of special courses on Buddhism and meditation that explain how to apply Buddha's teachings (Dharma) to modern living. This includes International Festivals, National Festivals and Dharma Celebrations. The events vary in length from two days to two weeks, but whatever their duration they all offer a vacation with a difference – a chance to break free from the hectic routines of daily life and focus on the things that really matter. You will come away not only refreshed and relaxed but also spiritually re-energised.

The Oral Instructions of Mahamudra
IKRC Grand Canyon Arizona • Jan 3 – Feb 13
With Kadam Morten Clausen
In this six-week retreat, which will be the first extended retreat to take place in our new Kadampa Temple, we have the great good fortune to meditate on the uncommon Mahamudra instructions of the Ganden Oral Lineage.
Kadam Morten, who is known for his clarity and inspirational presentation of Dharma, will guide meditations on the four preliminary practices and the actual practice of Mahamudra. The aim of this retreat is to gain actual heartfelt experience of the profound and practical instructions in Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso's book, The oral Instructions of Mahamudra, through which full enlightenment can be attained in this very life.
