The path to lasting happiness lies in understanding the true nature of things. In the Heart Sutra, Buddha gave beautiful, clear instructions for understanding the nature of reality and how to meditate on this realization. We will explore these instructions by focusing on a teaching known as ‘The Four Profundities’. This explanation will help us meditate on the path to liberation with confidence and ease.

This day course is followed by a Thursday evening series in April to deepen our understanding of this profound topic.

10:30 am – 12:30 pm • Teaching Part 1
12:30 pm – 1:30pm • Break
1:30 pm – 3 pm • Teaching Part 2

Our classes start on time. Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to class to register and get comfortable.

We are an all-volunteer run organization. Pre-registration, when available, helps us tremendously by lowering our processing fees, helping us staff according to demand and streamlining the check-in process for our class assistants!

General Information:

  • We are located in Boerum Hill at 444 Atlantic Avenue, between Nevins & Bond Streets – a short walk from most major subway lines!

  • All of our programming is suitable for both beginners and more advanced meditation practitioners – unless otherwise noted.

  • If offered, pre-registration is encouraged, but not required.

  • No special clothing is necessary, and we offer both chairs and cushions for sitting.

  • Please try to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to class to sign in and get comfortable. We do our best to start and end on time, and your help is appreciated!
